Moon Society Nashville Outpost exhibited at Adventure Science Center 8/29

On Thursday 8/29 Chuck Schlemm,
Moon Society Nashville Outpost, had a space exploration exhibit at Nashville’s Adventure Science Center from 9-3:00.  Their planetarium is closed for renovation, so they were looking for some substitute science activities.

I showed models of the Space Shuttle, ISS, Artemis SLS, Orion & Lunar Gateway, SpaceX’s Crew Dragon, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, Starship, Super Heavy booster, launch tower and HLS Lunar Lander.  Also showed Blue Origin’s New Shepard, New Glenn and Blue Moon lander.

I also showed a Moon base, Mars base, Hubble and Webb Space Telescopes, Voyager and Europa Clipper.

I spoke with ~100 of the ~350 guests, gave away some Moon Society brochures.

Last week I met Vandy cardiologist Dr. Eiman Jahangir at my previous ASC exhibit.  This morning (Thursday) he flew to space on New Shepard 26.  I showed guests the model of the Blue Shepard and described the vertical launch and landing he went through.

The exhibition went well and I enjoyed talking with many interested guests.   Photos below.

Next Saturday 9/7, I plan to do free public astronomy observing at Fairview‘s Bowie Park.
And Friday 9/13 I will be exhibiting at ST-NASH Star Trek convention in Murfreesboro.
