Moon Society Nashville Outpost at NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night 9/14/24

Exhibiting under the Saturn V

Hi all,

Saturday 9/14 was International Observe the Moon Night and NASA invited me to return again this year to share with their guests what NASA has done in the past, present and near future.

As a member of the Moon Society and Nashville’s Outpost, I enjoyed sharing my space exploration exhibit under a real Saturn V with guests in the U. S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama. I talked with ~100 of the ~1,000 (tbd) guests from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

See some pics below.

I had 3 tables of models of Apollo, Shuttle, ISS; SpaceX’s Dragon, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy & StarShip; Artemis’s SLS, Orion, Lunar Gateway, SpaceX HLS Moon lander, Blue Origin’s Blue Moon Mark 1 cargo lander &  Mark 2 crew lander.  Also B.O. New Shepard and New Glenn rockets and Virgin Galactic’s WhiteKnight 2 & SpaceShip 2.

I had a Moon base and a Mars base to discuss future possibilities, a LEGO Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter, and Europa Clipper which is expected to launch 10/10/24.

We’ll plan to be back next year.
